Position - Timber Machinist

Location - Dunedin, Otago

About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Timber Machinist to join our Dunedin-based team. This is a hands-on role operating a range of woodworking machinery to produce premium custom timber mouldings and components.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating our 4-sider moulder and other machines such as rip saws, band saws, spindle moulders, and speed sanders

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings

  • Performing quality control and routine machine maintenance

  • Assisting with packaging, inventory, and tracking of completed timber jobs

  • Custom machining and shaping of moulding blades where required

 

What You Will Bring to the Role:

  • Experience in timber machining, sawmill work, or a related trade is preferred – but not essential

  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to quality

  • Ability to read technical plans and operate machinery safely

  • A good work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn

  • Forklift experience is a bonus, but not required

We welcome entry-level applicants with relevant training or trade experience. Full on-the-job training and support will be provided to the right candidate.
