Wood Solutions have 3 linked factories in Sturdee Street Dunedin, each with a floor area in excess of 550m2 and another joinery factory in Milton primarily producing pre-hung doors and exterior joinery.

Dunedin Joinery Factory
Primarily our joinery manufacturing operation, with 11 fulltime tradesmen joiners and 3 apprentice joiners work in this area with ages ranging from 17 through to 60. In this part of our operation we specialize in all aspects of commercial joinery and fitouts, domestic joinery including kitchens, exterior doors and windows and staircases. Several of our staff have been with the company for over 25 years and offer experience in any aspect of the joinery field.

Dunedin Processing Factory
A CNC Beamsaw and Point to Point equipped cabinet and shopfitting precut facility. This factory is set up primarily to produce Melamine and Veneer cabinetry from sheet product and for shopfittings and furniture. It is equipped with a Giben Prismatic CNC optimized Beamsaw, a SCM fully automatic edge bander, and a Masterwood CNC Point to Point. There are 3 fulltime staff working in this area. During periods of high demand up to 8 staff may be working in the cabinet pre-cut factory.

Dunedin Machine Factory
A full machine shop complete with two large four siders, moulding machines, sanders, tenoners and morticing machines etc and currently produces 90% of the locally run mouldings and weatherboards for the likes of Carters, Placemakers and local timber merchants. There are 4 qualified machinists working in the machine shop fulltime, one of which is the factory foreman in charge of production and quality control.

Door Factory
This factory is primarily involved in pre-hanging interior doors for domestic and commercial applications. The factory has a fulltime staff of 4 and carries a stock of over 500 doors of varying styles and designs.
